The story of Uma'al is the telling of humanity's fall from grace and eventual humility and atonement as symbolized through the Hunter whose name is Uma'al. It is also the origin story of the Purification Lodge of the Great Mother Bear, a Paleo-Siberian ceremony of spiritual re-alignment.

The concluding song is the one sung in the third round of the Lodge, calling in the Red Wolf/Eater (bad) of Memories, White Wolf/Atonement and the Great White Mother Bear/Spiritual Rebirth.
